This is excellent!
I love to make it for breakfast when we have friends or family staying
the night with us. My sister-in-law
asked for the recipe after trying it, and she and her husband made it taste
even better by adding about a teaspoon of garlic powder and ¼ teaspoon onion
powder to the egg mixture.
This recipe came from a church cookbook and was submitted
by Tammy Pratt.
Recipe:
6 slices bread, crumbled
1 pkg. sausage, browned (I use Jimmy Dean sausage - sage flavored one)
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 tsp. dry mustard
Salt and pepper
1 cup Velveeta or Cheddar cheese, shredded (I use
Cheddar)
Crumble bread on bottom of 9x13 inch baking dish. Brown and drain sausage. Put it over the bread. Sprinkle cheese over top. Pour mixture of eggs, milk, mustard, and salt
and pepper over top. Refrigerate
overnight. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hours at
350 F.
